Producing slides for presentations is how Magic Lantern Studios started in business. Our corporate name actually comes from the name of the very first slide projectors which were called "magic lanterns."

With the advent of business presentation software programs many of our slide customers shifted to building their own presentations. At about the same time, we refocused our audio visual efforts into video production utilizing conventional shooting techniques with non-linear video editing.

Our writers produce scripts that present your products and/or services in an engaging and intriguing manner. Meanwhile, the design team creates storyboards that depict the flow of the video production including special effects and animations.

We utilize our Betacam SP camera package to shoot the scenes that make up the script. In the editing suite, we digitize the best takes into our high resolution Media 100 non-linear editing system and and use these clips to build the final video.

Narration tracks are taped separately along with any music tracks and special audio effects which add that extra sparkle to the completed piece. Lastly, we incorporate the special effects animations we produce utilizing software products like After Effects, Boris Effects and Final Effects.

Although we occasionally still produce slides, much of that work is now integrated into PowerPoint and TVL presentations. We use PowerPoint strictly for speaker support presentations, while we use our TVL system to produce self-contained multi-image modules for full-scale sales meetings and trade shows.
